Dr. Daniel Rufus, D.C.
Dr. Daniel Rufus, D.C., is the newest addition to Philadelphia’s renowned chiropractic community, taking over the esteemed Smith Chiropractic. With a passion for holistic health and a commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Rufus is dedicated to continuing the legacy of excellence established by his predecessors, all while introducing innovative techniques to enhance patient outcomes. He is extremely excited to be starting this new adventure and looks forward to helping the Philadelphia community for many years to come.
Dr. Rufus graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport Iowa in 2017 after completing his undergraduate degree at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport Iowa with a B.S. in Kinesiology. While attending Saint Ambrose he played collegiate football as well as participating in track and field. He competed in the indoor and outdoor national championships 3 years in a row and is still the school record holder in the hammer throw.
Since graduating from Palmer, Dr. Rufus has really enjoyed working with prenatal and pediatric patients as well as athletic injuries. Having been a competitive athlete his whole life, Dr. Rufus has a comprehensive understanding of how these injuries occur and how to best treat them. Dr. Rufus has continued to expand his knowledge in these areas and his techniques are enhanced by the additional training he has in extremity work.
In his free time Dr. Rufus enjoys golfing, playing basketball, being outdoors, working out, and spending time with friends and family. Dr. Rufus is excited to collaborate with patients in every phase of life, whether they were just born or have great-grandchildren, and to instill a sense of healthy living in the Philadelphia community.
